Hello, upon rebuilding my website for the ???th time since my first website back in high school in the late 90’s, I would like to reintroduce myself.
I am AZURE. Professional animator and storyboard artist since 2005, after graduating collage. My works includes Netflix kids and grownup shows including HOME and TURBO, TV commercials, TV shows including Sesame Street. I have been in a few galleries with my Illustrations and have fortunately received an EMMY nomination for storyboarding.
On my side I do comics, illustration commissions craft.
I craft like a maniac.
My husband can tell you.
I started knitting when I was very young but forgot it until I was 16, did it for two years maybe and forgot about it until I was 26. Then Knitting went to crocheting to yarn dying to yarn spinning and then sewing and quilting came in, weaving sort of came but not really stuck yet but felting and embroidery came. Aside from fiber crafts I got into baking too. Cooking had been my thing since I was very young. Who knows what’s next.
At the same time, I am a mother of two kids. Older, Biscuit has a whole comic series available here. Younger, Muffin, like many second child has a lot less things made for her, but she has given me something to work on, which is cooking for baking for allergies. She is still very young and we are working on them, but she has a few allergies that I need to work around. Milk, egg, tree nuts… It has been an adjustment, and I would love to be able to help other parents with kids who have allergies to the extent I can. I am no dietician or pediatrician (yes I draw cartoons for living), but I would love to share any information or recipes that came handy to me.
My website started maybe in 1999 or 2000 as a geeky teenager’s website on mac os8, but has grown into a website including my professional animation work, my store (which is nearing a general store each year), my commission station and my craft-geek world.
